What data we collect

When you register and use ZinApp, we collect the following personal data:

• Account information — your email address and password (stored securely via hashing)
• Subscription data — your Stripe customer ID and subscription status, managed by our payment processor Stripe
• Content data — the Zins (notes and insights) you create within the app

We do not collect your name, address, or payment card details. Payment card processing is handled entirely by Stripe and is never seen or stored by Zin Content.

How we use your data

Your personal data is used solely to:

• Provide and maintain your ZinApp account and subscription
• Authenticate you on login
• Manage your subscription via Stripe

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on Xano (our backend provider). Access to your data is enforced server-side — you can only ever access your own records. Passwords are not stored in plain text.

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. On account deletion, your data will be removed from our systems within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

Cookies

ZinApp uses a single session cookie (auth_token) to keep you logged in. This cookie is essential to the operation of the service. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
